Council for Peaceful Alliances between Sovereign Nations and Organizations and Mayan New Year Ceremonies
October 25 – 31, 2005

Join the Great Confederation of Mayan Aj Q’ijab (Spiritual Leaders and Guides) and other International Sovereign Nation Leaders for a five-day Council focusing on peaceful alliances and unity between nations and organizations, followed by the celebration of Waqxaqi’ (8) B’atz.

The 8 B’atz Ceremony, guided by traditional Mayan Aj Q’ijab, celebrates completing the sacred 260 day cycle of the Cholq’ij (Sacred Mayan Calendar), and the beginning of the new cycle, bringing spiritual renewal and connection to the web of life.

A pilgrimage across Lake Atitlan to the Patziapa Traditional Mayan Healing Center (a center being created for the sustainable organic growth of foods and medicines and the sharing of indigenous teachings and ceremonies for healing and reconnecting with the Earth) will happen on the day following 8 B’atz, 9 E, to give thanks as we birth our new destiny.

This is a sacred time to come together to share in a council setting, participate in ceremonies and unite our prayers of all kinds and traditions around the Sacred Fire for the well-being of our nations and our Mother Earth.
